Three wines from Turkey Day:
2005 Bernard Fouquet Domaine des Aubuisières Les Girardières Vouvray (Loire) Stunning. Rich, honeyed, apple over wool and clay. A touch of residual sugar and nicely balanced acidity works well with all things turkey. I’ll get more of this.

2002 Villa Bucci Pongelli Rosso Piceno (Marche) 50/50 montepulciano and sangiovese blend. Bright fruit, a touch of iodine and sea-breeze combined with aged, smoky wood gives it a driftwood charm. Excellent acidity and extremely food friendly.

2001 Ridge Geyserville (Sonoma County) Ok, it doesn’t go with turkey dinner at all but it was quite yummy after dinner. Rich, robust Ridge profile, ripe without being raisiny, a black pepper finish, and certainly a longer term keeper.
