WTN: Voge Cornas LesChailles '10...(short/boring)

Tried this last night:
1. AlainVoge LesChailles AC: Cornas (13.5%; 100% Syrah; EB) 2010: Dark color; very attractive classic NR/roasted/pungent/smoky/meaty/bacon /mineral some blackberry/Syrah/Calif-like bit toasty/oak/smokey some earthy/dusty complex nose; rather tart somewhat hard/tannic/bitey some blackberry/Syrah light roasted/NR/smokey/pungent/bacon flavor; long quite hard/tannic/bitey/coarse rather earthy/dusty/mineral some blackberry/Syrah light toasty/oak finish; quite an attractive but pretty hard/tannic/coarse/earthy on the palate; some Calif-like/blackberry; a wine somewhere between classic Calif Syrah and classic NorthernRhone; needs 4-8 yrs but may not outlive the hard/fierce tannins. $46.50 (SFW&S)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Three new AlainVoge Syrahs came into NM several weeks ago. I (sorta) liked the 100% Syrah CdR last week, but found it pretty tannic. This mid-range Cornas also had pretty hard/chewey tannins. Probably won't bother with the VielleVignes '10 Cornas at $64. Loads of tannins and not enough NR character to make me want to take the gamble.
