2007 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Spätlese "Schmitt" - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (4/6/2013)
First taste of this wine in a long time. It's still predictably youthful, with plenty of primary fruit, but it has slimmed down since release, givng it a more pronounced minerality and spine. This is all to the good. The balance is very fine, so a long, positive evolution remains in the cards. No problem drinking this now if you are looking for a largely primary, but delicious wine. I'll likely be waiting on most of my remaining bottles, as I would like to see more development.
