2011 Donkey and Goat Late Harvest Chard

From an El Dorado County vineyard at 3,000 feet!

Noble Rot.

Deliciously refreshing wine. Definitely SOME sweetness but not cloying in any way. Fantastic piercing acidity-makes this a very fresh wine. There is also that hint of "French Hipster Natural Wine" funk (which I love) which adds a savory/sauvage??? base to the flavor of the wine. Delicious stuff. Also tasted the 2010 Perli (Mendocino Ridge) Syrah, which is beautifully Syrah-ish with that wonderful plum skin flavor I love in good Syrah!
