Tried this last night w/ roasted veggies:
1. EdmundsStJohn Heart of Gold ElDoradoCnty WTW (54% GrenacheBlanc/46% Vermentino; 13.3%; www.EdmundsStJohn.com) ByHook or ByCrook/Fairplay 2007: Med.gold color; beautiful/fragrant Mosel valve oil/gout de petrol/R-like/floral rather pineapple/mango/tropical fruit spicy/nutmeg light mineral/chalky lovely complex very aromatic nose; rather tart/mineral/chalky light grapefruit some mango/pineapple light Mosel valve oil slight stony/granite/tangy fairly complex flavor; very long tart/tangy/grapefruity/mineral/metallic light pineapple/mango some stoney/granite/chalky fairly complex finish; a stunning nose of Mosel valve oil and good minerality on the palate; has a lush tropical fruit from the GrenacheBlanc and the stony/mineral of Vermention; some like the TablasCreek Vermention but muuch more perfumed & complex; at its peak?? Haven't a clue, have to go to Monktown to get that answer; but in a really wonderful place right now.

Thanks.

I have not bought the HoG in a long time. Might be time to revisit that strategy.
