Tierce 2009 Finger Lakes Dry Riesling, to be served with the first course of lobster with clam chowder sauce, as well as the award-winning Bedell Cellars 2009 merlot from Long Island that will be served with bison

Senator Schumer chairs the Committee on Inaugural Activities so no real surprise New York wines were chosen. Still, good recognition for the industry. Tierce is a cooperative venture of Fox Run Vineyards, Red Newt Cellars and Anthony Road Winery.

I agree - that is good for the industry. I expect as a result that there will be greater interest in NY wines at the shop this week; I hope our stock has recovered from the holidays.
