Clear ruby red. Purple plum with dark fruit notes, especially black raspberry and raisins on the nose. Fruity midpalte with juicy blackberries, chocolate and good acidity complemented by smooth tannins. Medium length finish with pepper and blackbery fruit. Great with pasta smothered in a tomato meat sauce. Ripasso is my go-to wine for pasta dishes. Nice with orange flavored chocolate. Brings out the tannins and sour fruit in the wine.
