Any 2013 New Year's Wine Resolutions?

Does anyone have a New Year's resolution that involves wine? It could be wanting to drink and learn more of a specific region/grape variety, wanting to write more tasting notes, wanting to do more wine related travel, etc. I am tempted by Ray Isle (of Food and Wine Mag) and his resolution to drink the entire contents of his wine fridge and start over, although that may not be practical for those who have huge wine cellars or many bottles that need longer aging.

1. Drink more wine out of my cellar than I purchase to put in my cellar
2. Attend MoCool
3. Not engage in any "cork v. alternative" debate on any forum
4. Taste a Petrus and/or DRC (step one - identify benefactor)
5. Come to terms with the existance of Sancerre

Agree with Sam's #1.

Plenty.

1. Stop making stupid resolutions like 'buy less wine' that I will absolutely not keep.
2. Open more mature wine when possible, rather than breaking into young bottles.
3. Get more Prum (young and old) in the cellar. It's great stuff and I don't own enough.
4. Become more familiar with Vosne wines (still can't get a supernal bottle of Rouget Cros Parantoux out of my head)
5. There is not enough Burgundy in the cellar. Fix that.

1. Buy less wine. I have enough wine to not need to buy every time I see or hear about something that might be good.
2. To the extent possible, don't buy a wine unless I've tasted it first.
3. Keep maintaining my inventory in Cellartracker, as I have been.
4. Don't save every 'special' bottle for an event that may never come - open and enjoy.

1. Buy less than I consume (Sam definitely had that one right)
2. Rotate my California mailing list slots (getting a high level of inventory on a couple - should swap them out)
3. Focus on Champagne (not that I haven't in the past, but just a reminder)
4. Drink more Auslese
5. Host more tastings

Overall only item #1 is a big deal, though #4 and #5 support #1.

1. Buy more "better wines"
2. Buy less "everyday drinkers"
3. Take a harder look at Reisling, (Used to love it in the 70's but, like scotch, lost a taste for it).
