I opened this to have with sloppy joe at lunch on New Year's Eve. This is a winery that holds the Pinot Noirs for several years before releasing them. I still owned two bottles of the 2000 vintage and this one proves that some Cali Pinot Noir can be long-living. I'm not in a great hurry to open the remaining bottle. If my recollection is correct, some vintages in the late 90's did not age as well as this vintage. Purple-brown color; semi-opaque. Dark cherries and subtle earth tones with a bit of savory elements. Smooth drinking and very pleasurable. In my estimation worthy of 89 points.
