NV Moussé Fils Champagne Or Tradition Cuisles - France, Champagne (12/28/2012)
80% Pinot Meunier/20% Pinot Noir. Disgorged June 2012.

This is seriously deep Champagne. Not the most complex wine, but it has great palate weight and lovely red fruit aromas and flavors. There's just the slightest bitterness on the finish, but otherwise really fantastic stuff. The weight & persistence of the flavors are what impress me most about it.

Sounds wonderful.

Back about 20 years ago, our engineering group at DEC was collaborating with an engineering firm in Moscow. We had a visit from two engineers from that firm, and their names were Boris and Natasha. I kid you not. Fortunately we got over the laughter before they arrived. We dubbed our local manager and project leader "Moose and Squirrel".

I work with a bunch of Russians now from Moscow and Novosibirsk, and most of them seem to be named Sergey. Sort of like the Bruces in the Monty Python Australian Philosopher's sketch.

My nickname at work was Fearless Leader the last couple of years.
