Unfortunately I can't say I see any real decrease in the rate of corked bottles. This year's tasting season with AuZone - The Wine Society started yesterday with one corked out of eight. Sadly the corked one was 1986 Ch Palmer - so seriously corked that we could not even guess the origin. OTOH, if there has been an improvement lately, the cork in this bottle was inserted already in 1988, so no real significance to that question.
