Sonoma Coast, CA. 14.6% abv. Vineyard located in the northern end of the Petaluma Gap. Dark, opaque purple color; color thins on the meniscus. Shows viscosity. As the back label advertises, this is an intense wine. I found dark berries on the nose--blueberry and boysenberry. Slightly tart on the finish. Appealing in a heavy, indulgent, saturated style--not my usual type of Pinot but it has its merits. I would prefer to drink this at someone else's expense or by the glass in a restaurant with hearty fare--maybe boar meat or stew. I would not pair it with salmon or most dishes from fowl.
