A worthy successor to the 2009, and exceedingly enjoyable to drink. Plenty of supple fruit, some oak, though not at all overwhelming in the context of the fruit, and a beautiful balance. The finish is long, long with ample grip. Looks like one for the cellar, but it sure was fun to drink last night. Went really well with my medium-rare filet topped with foie-gras butter. I liked the way the ripe black fruit played off the foie element.

I think it may be the 2010 Geyserville that I ordered last month and will be picking up tomorrow in Raleigh. I will try to obtain some of the 2010 Lytton Springs also, hopefully within this area so that I don't need to pay for shipping. I usually hold the Geyserville and Lytton Springs for six to ten years before consumption.

P.S. I picked up the wines yesterday (Friday) and it was both 2010 Geyserville and Lytton Springs plus two red Burgundies.
