TN: 2004 Villa Cafaggio Riserva, Chianti Classico DOCG.

Decanted one hour, no sediment noted. Good natural cork, $26 Cdn, cellared 3 yrs. 13.5% alc, Lot 21-06. One year Slovenian oak.

The color is starting to show some light bricking but medium depth here.
The nose takes a while to open up, cherry, floral still, hint of tobacco. Some earth too, "more muted aromas with air" from across the table.
Entry thought is drinks very well, with good length. Berry flavors, integrated tannins, has developed some nice secondary characteristics...peppery, herbal, cherry. Nice and mature on day 2, lead pencil, no chance of falling apart.
"Why keep any longer" good response!
