2008 PASCAL BOUCHARD CHABLIS LES VIELLES VIGNES GRANDE RESERVE. Imported by BJT, Inc. Raleigh, NC. Grapes are hand picked from old vines and matured in 1/3 French oak for 8 months.
12.5% alcohol by volume. I was pleased that this wine had a flinty quality that I seek in Chablis. It also exhibits a richness on the palate with texture and length. Notes of lime, chalk, and possibly walnut oil. Nice accompaniment to chicken with asparagus and lemon juice. I would buy it again.

2006 JOSEPH DROUHIN PULIGNY-MONTRACHET from Burgundy Wine Company. 13.5% abv. Medium gold coppery color. Still quite drinkable but tilting toward early maturity. Acacia blossom notes and a hint of vanillin and hazelnut. A spicy crab cake turned the wine peppery so I enjoyed it more on its own or with baked tilapia the next evening. Medium body and length with some viscosity. Suggestion of ripe or baked apples. I enjoyed this but have questions about cellaring it longer. For the most part, I am drinking my white Burgundies at the six-year mark or earlier.
