2006 Karl Lagler Gruner Veltiner Federspiel Burgberg, Wachu Spitz.

I have been rather amiss in ignoring GV of late but looking through my cellar book, I realised I had this one stashed away. Lagler is not that well-known but forumites should look out for this domaine I feel.

SC, I served quite well chilled. The color was a light gold but nice clear sparkle overall. On the nose I found fair amount of minerality, peach, orange and some floral tones. Quite aromatic which held up overnight.
Wonderful acidity without being too bracing. This is a fairly big style wine, very impressive. Orange, apple, minerals, a real wow of a wine! "Has aged perfectly" from across the table. Bravo.

6 years counts as age now?

My 1995s must be considered elderly.
There behind the glass lies a real blade of grass. Be careful as you pass. Move along. Move along.
