Bonacosta Valpolicella Classico 2010
Dark cherry red in the glass.
Raspberry, smoke, red licorice on the nose.
Medium weight, raspberry, currants, cherry, tangy acidity, smoky, earthy, leather, red licorice, quite full in the mouth.
Smoky, with a bitter bite on the finish.
Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).
A blend of Pinto Grigio and Verduzzo.
Tart, bitter, grapefruit rind.
Move along folks, nothing to see here.
Fuzion Alta Torrontes Pinot Grigio 2011
Bright yellow-green in the glass.
A very rich marmalade and spicy nose.
Medium weight, drier and leaner than I had expected from the nose, tangerine, lemon, a hint of peach, light bitter citrus rind, good acidity, clean, peppery, spicy and floral.
Purchased at $8.95 (Canadian).
Creekside Sauvignon Blanc 2010
Bright yellow, with green tints, in the glass.
Strong gooseberry on the nose.
Medium weight, gooseberry, lemon, lime, spicy, peppery, great tangy acidity a hint of honey, with some bitter citrus peel toward the end.
Gooseberry and lemon rind on the finish.

Exultet Pinot Noir 2009
Prince Edward County (Ontario)
Medium cherry red in the glass.
Cherry, smoke roasted notes and a little candied on the nose.
Light to medium weight, cherry, raspberry, good acidity, spicy.
Mouthwatering, spicy, raspberry, currants on the finish.
Acceptable, but nothing special or out of the ordinary
Purchased at the winery and not worth what I paid for it.
