'95 St Innocent Pinot Noir, Brickhouse Vineyard

Dark garnet with clear edge, enticing nose of cinnamon spice, cocoa powder, black cherry; rich fruit framed by good acidity and chalky tannins. Excellent complexity and depth of fruit with a long spicy finish. If served blind, I would not have guessed the vintage. Unblind, I thought there was a slightly bitter tannic edge on the finish, albeit interestingly evocative of dark chocolate. The vigor and intensity of the fruit make me think it'll hold for at least another couple of years. But it's so enjoyable now that I'm working my way thru the remainder of my stash.

Thanks for the note, Mark. I had forgotten we have two bottles left.

Not for long, it appears. :-)
