Sea Smoke?

Postby Sam Platt » Sat Apr 28, 2012 9:48 am

After being on a waiting list for about two years I have won an allocation of some Sea Smoke wines. The allocation includes the 2010 "Southling" and "Ten" Pinot Noirs and a Chardonnay. Do any forumites have personal experience with Sea Smoke wines?

Sam-
You obviously missed the memo that really cool people don't subscribe to mailing lists. I believe the memo, (it could have been an email) was sent in early 2002.

Must have been the same memo that said shorts made out of denim were out of style. I was rockin' those bad boys until last year when some kid said "Nice jorts." Remember, I do work as an engineer.

I tasted one of the Sea Smoke Pinots a few years. I loved it, and in an attempt to buy some found out the only way to get it was to be on the list. I went full Erkel and signed up.

I do plan to buy part of the allocation. I'm just not sure how much.

Big wines. Popular with pointy people who say they are not pointy people.
