WTN: Leitz Rüdesheimer Bischofsberg Spätlese Trocken 2009

Had my first bottle yesterday: quite pale with lots of Granny Smith apples on the nose, mixed with lemon, lime and site-typical minerality. After 24 hours in the fridge - in a two thirds empty bottle - more open and fruitier, promising even better days to come. Retains quite a lot of CO2 and is of course under screwcap, thanks! Did I only pay 16 USD for this one? Wow, what a QPR!

Hi Fredrik -

Thank you for the great note. I have not seen any Leitz wines from Rudesheimer Bischofsberg around here since the 2006 vintage, but this sounds like a wine that I would really enjoy. Then again, it is generally hard to go wrong with Leitz.
