Susan & I tried this weekend:
1. Bastianich Friulano "Adriatico" DOC: Colli Orientali del Friuli (13%; www.AdriaticoWine.com) 2009: Med.gold color; some earthy/mineral slight nutty/hazelnuts/oxidized slight fruity/appley/perfumed slight old Rhonish some complex nose; fairly tart bit tangy/metallic slight oxidized/hazelnutty light apple/pear/fruity slight bitter/tannic some complex flavor; med.long tangy/metallic slight oxidized/bitter light appley/fruity/pear complex finish; seems to be a lo-cal orange wine w/ some skin contact; much more interesting than the rather simple '08 version. $17.00

We liked the Batianich a lot, too. Don't recall any oxidative notes, though it's orange potential could point in that direction.

Very nice taste of nuts and fruits. Weimer's Chardonnay is one of my favorites these days and I was surprised how much this tasted like it.
