I live in NC, which I believe im a region 7 off of the chart to determine what types of plants will make it in your area. There are many new vineyards in my area starting up. Some are coming up on year 6 now. It looks to me to be more practical to buy grapes from them rather than to grow my own. However, I do like using the wine kits and adding Blackberry concentrate to the mix. I would like to buy some blackberry plants in the next two weeks to plant. I am not sure which plant to buy. I can buy them from GA and have about eight types to choose from. Some with thorns and some without. The elephant type are the largest berries of them all. Could someone point me in the right direction when choosing and maybe some types to stay away from.

At this point I am not looking for the best place to buy them ...just the right type of Blackberry If someone who is somewhat of an expert check it out for me it would be great.
