Not Russia per se, but I have a bottle of the following:

2003 Georgia Royal Collection Kindzmarauli Red Semi-sweet sparkling wine

It's made from the Saperavi grape. Have tried dry red Georgian wine in the past, but haven't yet tried this particular wine.

cheers,

I've had too many. I used to visit St-Petersburg quite often and our hosts would always open up some red bubbly which reminded me of my note on this
wine! I.e. not very good. I guess some good stuff must be made knowing the reputation of some of the stuff coming from the Crimea, but I haven't so far tasted anything decent, just sickly sweet, hollow-palated, monstrosities.
I don't drink wine because of religious reasons ... only for other reasons.
