Quick note on a $5 bottle of wine:

2006 Vida Organica Torrontes (Familia Zuccardi Mendoza Argentina)

From the label: "...Fresh, crispy with tropical fruit flavors and a spicy finish..." Yup.

If you like fragrant viognier-like flavor profiles, this is a great QPR wine. No real flaws, could use more acidity for my taste but that's me. Hard to beat at this price.

Howard, if you enjoyed this Torrontes, I suggest you look out for the one made by Susana Balbo, Crios. Its a little more expensive, but its a more textbook Torrontes.

Thanks Alejandro. I didn't know anything about this wine before I bought it but I'll definitely seek out the Susana Balbo.

James.... $8 would be 60% premium on $5, so that is quite an increase... :D
