Rather nicely done article in today's NYTimes on Hanzell by Issac. requires registration.

Nice story, and proof that in California, anyway, virtue really is its own reward. Speaking from a retailer's point of view, Hanzell is a difficult sell, because the wines are not meant to be taken home and opened immediately. You know how it is with Americans and delayed gratification. It's not our thing.
