Bob, I just WISH I had known about that dinner mentioned in the article and the 9-year Baco vertical!!! Damn - I should have been at that.
I would love to make a trip down to Henry of Pelham's sometime and ask for a private tour of the vineyard where they have their oldest Baco vines. Those are legendary vines for Ontario, because they represent a part of our still young, albeit undisputable, history with this grape and big reds in our region.

Sounds neat ... I'll likely be going to get my grapes on the 23rd however (Concords), but if you go later than that, I may just join along.

I'll be in Ontario wine country Saturday 23-Wed 27 September staying somewher around St Catharines. And it is the Niagara Vintage Festival then.
