2005 Langwerth Von Simmern, Hattenheimer Nussbrunnen, Kabinett, Rheingau, #012 06

I haven't tasted anything from this producer since the 2001 vintage and that was a very, very nice Riesling. Initially lots of white stone fruit and pear on the nose. The palate follows, but finishes with a tart granny smith apple profile that I found a bit of a distraction from the package. A bit light on acidity, but readers should be warned that I really dig acid in my Riesling. Tasted over the course of 90 minutes and really not a lot of change. I found myself wavering over how much I liked this wine until I had a glass with my lunch of take-out Hunan Chicken...a great match that showed the wine to its' full advantage IMO. Retails here for ~$22.

If I can ask this question here, Redwinger, for which shop in Indy do you work or own? I get down there once in a while and it's always good to know where the finer wines are. I have a couple of places I know I can find interesting selections, but there's never anything wrong with having more stores to visit. :D
