WTN: Georg Breuer Riesling Berg Schlossberg 2005

This is a barrel sample TN, as the wine won't be released until March 2007
Delicious kiwi and pineapple fruit. Pronounced appleblossom and white flowers and a strong mineral flavor of slate and schist. The wine is very lean as of yet, but hints at power to come. Obviously there is a certain leesiness and pain de levain from being unfinished.
I had the good fortune of coaxing a sample out of Heinrich Breuer while in Ruedesheim earlier this month. I don't know if any will reach US shores as it is sold en premiere in Germany. It should be stunning though, and well worth seeking out.
Prost!
