Last night, before popping into the Grill, I did a brief sampling of Cortes de Cima at my local winestore hangout! Nice wines in the modern style (where is everyone going!!) I was especially impressed with the Syrah and think this winery needs some palate exploration. Anyone come across this new winery yet? Our good friend Jamie has a very informative write up here.........

Not wishing to be picky, but what has Espana got to do with it?:)

Back in 2004 I tasted the Cortes de Cima Tinto 2000. It was very competently made but utterly anonymous and international. I got nothing that said "Portugal" out of the wine. I stopped paying attention since that bottle. Too much stuff is like this now, so I try to spend my efforts to finding the ones that aren't. :)
