Interesting coincidence.

Rarely are the wines discussed here available locally. however, a couple of weeks ago, I was in Eugene, OR, and went to Trader Joe's. I picked up several bottles to try. Among them was the Doña Paula Malbec. Not the best bottle in the box, but very likely the best value. Very nice, and I will buy it again.

Isaac, I have been hoarding some older vintages of Dona Paula to see what developes over time. BTW the Reserve bottling is the heaviest wine bottle I have ever handled!
I usually pop into HRH Jancis website from time to time and she has a piece on Catena. See.................

The Doña Paula Reserve bottling is the equivalent of the local (Argentine) market Seleccion de Bodega. This producer has two Reserve labels, a Chardonnay and the above mentioned Malbec.
