WTN: 2005 Fox Glove Chardonnay Edna Valley California. 14.5% alcohol. $15.99, Beekman Wines, Glen Rock, NJ. Light yellow color, clear hue, wonderful initial aroma of ripe fruit and a hint of spice, full fruit flavors dominated by grapefruit [quite unpleasant for Janet, and cloying for me], medium mouth feel, long finish, a bit oaky -- not my style. [There must be some bottle variation with this wine; I tasted it at Joel's shop and the wine was just delicious -- a wonderfully complex Chardonnay aroma and taste with no apparent oak; the bottle I brought home was dominated by grapefruit and stronger oak.] 2*.
