Cairanne, Cotes de Rhone Village.

Very dark purple in the glass.

Creamy, cherry nose.

Very soft and creamy in the mouth, rich, tangy cherry fruit, spicy, lightly smoky. Starts out full and rich, but, with time, turns quite crisp and appley. Rather odd.

Weighs in at 14.5 per cent alcohol and, unfortunately, it shows it.

Hi Bruce, that one sounds a bit strange? One always expects good things from the Rhone eh.
