WTN: '85 Salon for 17th Anniversary

Laura and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary on Saturday. We first went for a long hike across the Metacomet-Monadnock trail, enjoying the below average temps and cooling breezes.
That evening we uncorked and '85 Salon to celebrate. It's all that it should be right now, with toasty, nutty and apple aromas and deep, toasted fruit and wheat on the palate. The best part about it is that the wine is so elegant while also having the depth of Grand Cru White Burgundy (minus the randox). The flavors are long and persistent, and the mouthfeel is silky smooth. Delicious wine that lived up to the occasion.
And the best part is that we have lots and lots more years to celebrate. Getting married early has its advantages.
