Pretty good box of wine

by Jon Peterson » Sun Oct 18, 2009 8:40 pm

I recently bought a 3 liter box of 2007 Reserve Grand Veneur Cotes-du-Rhone from Alain Jaume & Fils; 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah 10% Cinsault, 13.5% alc. I used a little to cook with (Beef Stroganoff in crepes) and 'poured' a glass for Liz and me. I was/am very impressed. The wine is very smooth with a rich berry flavor. It's also nice that I don't have to worry about what still left in the box, it'll be just as good tomorrow or next week. Any other positive experiences with box wine?

Jon,

Another positive experience here. I had a couple of this from a mixed case purchase and liked the first bottle that I had about a couple months ago.
