Down at deer/turkey camp this week and decided to bring along a more special wine to celebrate some great success we might have. Well one of us, not me, did get a #19 gobbler, so I opened the above wine with marinated London Broil. Very dark/black in color, the wine was a little too cool and the nose was muted but the flavors were excellent with some cassis and blackberry. Tannins were mostly resolved but perfection is still 4-5 years off or more. I have brought many wines down to this cabin but this one struck a high note with the few imbibers. I'll wait on my few remaining bottles of a few years.
