WTN: 2004 Sobon Estate Rezerve Zin

Medium-full bodied, ample tannins, lots of cherries, looong finish and leaves a lingering liquorice-like note. Lots of stuffing still left in this wine.

I've never tested how long a Sobon would last, but the good years of the better bottlings should have tons of life. Definitely one of my favorite Amador zin producers--maybe even, my No. 1 favorite.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Sobon zins are as good as it gets in California. The reserve is excellent. They also bottle almost all their wine in screwcap which is a big plus. I have some older vintages I have been holding. Paul sobon comes east frequently. I really need to get out to Amador Co. Of course, I need to get to Napa and Sonoma too.
