2005 Domaine Jacques Prieur Beaune Champs-Pimont 1er Cru 13.0%
Attractive sour cherry aroma, with light funk and faint vanillin. Strong acidity before food, good mouth weight, medium tannins. Sour cherry aroma morphs into dark. Juicy, with a long finish. Eminently drinkable, though the acidity backs away a little too readily in contact with a wedge of Brie. Not quite as Cubist as yesterday's 04 Gouges LSG but the parts appeared more satisfyingly integrated.
