NV Roundpetel XOXO Merlot-Cabernet

NV Roundpetel, XOXO Merlot-Cabernet ($9.99 Can [Prov. Liq Store]). Alcohol level: 12.5%. This wine is bottled by Roundpetel from domestic (Canada) and imported (from?) wines. From what I can tell these wines are widely distributed across Canada, but can’t come up with an equivalent American brand off the top of my head.

Easy drinking is hardly the name for it. It reminds me of a plain ole Beaujolais. It was pleasant enough to match with grilled rib eye steaks, but would not go out of my way to find it again.

Yeah, that's a bad one that relies on the interesting shape of the bottle, rather than what is on the inside, for sales.
