Minervois
Château Mirausse/Raymond Julien, Vign.
A 70-30 Syrah-Grenache blend.
Inky, dark purple in the glass.
Spicy, black cherry, drying on the nose.
Good weighty mouthfeel, thick, juicy and fleshy black cherry, plums, tarry, good acidity, drying, spicy, charred, turning bitter and showing some annoying heat toward the end.
Some bitter tannin and drying on the finish.
A good wine upfront, but a bad wine at the finish. Too bad I coudn't have bought a half bottle.
Purchased on sale at $15.05 (Canadian) and not worth it.
