WTN: 2008 Essay Chenin Blanc SA

by David Glasser » Fri Aug 14, 2009 9:00 pm

Parker touted this on that other board. Nice wine, great QPR. Unfortunately, limited availability, apparently only in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast region. Available in DC at Macarthur and in Baltimore at the Wine Source. Chenin Blanc (95%) with a dollop of Viognier (5%).

Pale yellow. Honeydew and honeysuckle nose, light-medium body, ripe fruit, crisp balancing acidity, flavors follow the nose, short-medium finish, nice fresh summertime wine, very good, meant for short-term drinking, great QPR at $9.
