WTN: 2004 Angelica Zapata Cabernet Sauvignon

2004 Angelica Zapata Cabernet Sauvignon Alta Mendoza 14.0%
Elegant nose, showing plums and blackberries with hints of coffee and violets. Peppery, slightly hot, sweet on the tip of the tongue, with a velvety mouthfeel, featherweight tannins and a lightly bitter finish. The acid is both discreet and discrete, the latter giving it a slightly artificial connotation. A classy representative of a style from which I find myself increasingly estranged.
"I went on a rigorous diet that eliminated alcohol, fat and sugar. In two weeks, I lost 14 days." Tim Maia, Brazilian singer-songwriter.
