Decanted for about 20 minutes before supper.
Dark purple in the glass.
Spicy, tangy, chocolate and alcohol on the nose.
Thick in the mouth, spicy, rich and stewed cherry, raspberry and blueberry fruit, chocolate, quite dense, with a rather annoying alcohol burn and roughness that persisted throughout the entire bottle.
Alcohol and drying on the finish.
BTW: The wine weighed in at 14.5 per cent alcohol.
