WTN: Inniskillin Reserve Chardonnay 2007

by Bruce Hayes » Thu Aug 06, 2009 8:23 am

Okanagan Valley

Bright yellow in the glass.

Pear, apple, toast on the nose.

Medium weight, quite viscous and thick, apple, a hint of orange, honeyed, lightly peppery, good acidity, perfumed, toasty, nutty, vanilla.

After some time, the oak began to dominate, drowning out any hint of fruit and leaving a goopy-sweet caramel, vanilla and toasty mess.

Not my style at all.

Floral, mouthwatering with a light citrus bite on the finish.

Purchased at $13.95 (Canadian).
