WTN: Hope Chardonnay 2007

by Bruce Hayes » Sun Aug 02, 2009 1:43 pm

Hunter Valley, New South Wales

Moderate dark yellow in the glass.

Peaches and smoky on the nose.

Peach, apple, lime, light lemon, medium weight, good acidity, creamy, tangy, mouthwatering, viscouse, toasty oak, bright, rather rich and intense.

Tangy, lemon and mouthwatering on the finish.

A wine that is big, full and rich in the mouth, but with enough tangy acidity to give it an edge and keep it refreshing and not too "heavy."

Purchased at $15.95 (Canadian).
