JC in DC part II

by James Roscoe » Tue Jul 28, 2009 9:33 am

I posted this in the offline forum, but got no response. I hope Robin will indulge me by letting me re-post this here for a while where I hope to get more traffic.

JC will be in the DC-Bawlmore area over the Labor Day weekend. I would like to giver her a thorough dousing in wine. Could we pull something off on Sunday September 6th? I am unavailable earlier in the weekend, but don't let me stop anyone from planning something else. I also need a place to host the event. We did Dino's the last time JC was here. Any suggestions for a wine-friendly place (with a low corkage fee?)? Baltimore and Annapolis as well as all places in between are in the mix as well. I am out of town next week, but let's get something planned by the 14th of August.

I'm sure Robin's fine with it, James--I am!

Okay, I am going to bump this up once! Did none of the DC or Baltimore crowd see this or are we dead?

James - I would suggest a few well placed PMs. Also Labor Day weekend is a tough time for events, unless you are hosting a cookout.

Okay, we are gathering at Dino's on Sunday at 6:30 on Sunday evening. Is there anyone out there who would like to join us? I have a table for ten (I am saving a spot for JB), but I could make it bigger if I hear from some of you by Friday. Robin? DB? Bob H.? Howie? Chef? Paulo?

James,

I bet you know that JC is oneof my favorite people, but I can see no way to getr there that weekend. Mo'Cool pretty well took up my vacation time from work. (as if I had vacation time) I hope yoy get enough for a good offline.

Bob, thanks for the kind words. We have nine people coming which will make for a cozy crowd, but there is ALWAYS room for more!
