thanks for notes. I've liked the '83 more than the '89, but tastes (and bottles) differ. Too bad you didn't have the '86, my all time fave RS.

Dale, Hi....

I also enjoyed the 1986 wine. My most recent tasting note follows.

Chateau Rauzan Segla, Margaux, 1986: Starting fully mature bt continuing to unfold as a fine wine from a fine vintage year. Deep royal purple with a brick-red edge, full-bodied, with gently caressing tannins and rich plum and berry fruits, those on a background of sweet cedar wood. Long, round and elegant. Drinking beautifully now-2009. Score 93. (Re-tasted but not blind 11 Aug 2006)

Thanks for the notes Daniel. Although do you have any experience with the ‘94 R-S?

Salil, Hi....

Following is my most recent tasting note for the 1994 wine.

Best
Rogov

Chateau Rauzan-Segla, Margaux, 1994: A good showing for the winery from a good but not exciting vintage year. Full bodied, with once firm tannins now well integrated. Continuing to show notes of toasty oak, those parting to reveal currants, wild berries and a hint of freshly cured tobacco. Drink now-2010. Score 90. (Re-tasted twice with consistent notes 8 and 11 Jun 2004)
