Yup, label says `07 La R with roussanne in small print at bottom of label.

How was the `06 Bob? This white can stand some cellaring maybe? Might be one white one might decant.

Ok, now, I have to go digging thru the cellar to see what the 06 & 07 says on the label. I am still drinking the 2006 and just Monday I picked up a 6-pack of the 07. I haven't had an 07 yet and probably should to see if I need more to see me through the summer and fall. Since you mentioned the rosé I will tell you that it is probably the best under $20 (USD) ($17 here) in the world. (Bear in mind now that I am a Lancyre slut of long standing.) Click the link below to check the importers (Dan Kravitz) word. There are several other pinks mentioned and AFAIK all are worthy of buying and trying, I have had them all in one vintage or another and have found them to be pretty steady in quality. Also there is a shelf talker for the 07 roussanne of which we were speaking. Bob, I just checked and there is no mention of the Rouviere name on the 06 or 07 from Hand Picked Selections, so it might be an importers thing. Here is the link: http://www.winemerchant.net/pos/POS_fil ... G_2008.pdf

This is a correction of the above. The link takes you to a re-production of Parker's Wine Advocate from issue 178. I am making this correction for those who would rather not read anything from Parker will at least know that clicking the link will bring it up.

Correction #2: Bob, I see that I didn't answer your question re the 06. Having not had the 07 yet, I can't compare, but if you can get the 06 do not fail. It is a great bottle of roussanne.

Nice piece to start my day! The VV will last for a few years, no doubt about that. The `04 is on the shelf here, my TN on the `02 said "could cellar a little longer".
The pinkie is ready to go here but down the line-up list! The Rouviere seems to have different labels in different markets but that is not unusual is it! Good job Tahbilk don`t mess around with their labels (grin).

Now if you had said that some of us lust after the Cuban model Sissi, you might have been closer to home. I will not post it here, for even though I consider it not the least bit pornographic or even erotic it might offend some but a photo of Sissi can be seen at http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5728345

I too love Rose', not including those insipid 'white' zin and merlot abominations.

I have had a nice saignee made from Zinfandel (dry, Page Springs Cellars) and also a very nice Rose' from Pinot Noir (August Kessler). One of my perennial favorites is Domaine de Nizas, a rather typical GSM blend from the Lanquedoc.

Hoke,

We will be in Provence in mid Sept and would like to visit this producer-where is this cave located? I couldn't find the wine in the US-is it imported?

We probably go thru 6-8 cases of rose a yr-sitting on the beach with your feet in the water on Sydney harbor drinking Loire rose is magic. Here in the US I have to settle with sharing with Walt Carpenter.

Have you read Jamie Ivey's books are searching for rose in France and then setting up a rose bar in different towns-I believe he also did the rose clinic you mentioned.

Hi Guys......

If you can find this I recconnebd it highly.

Chateau Mirval "Pink Floyd" 2008 around $20

Story goes: Mirval is one of the most incredible posh estates in Provence. Chateau comes equipped with a state of the art recording studio. Pinf Floyd recorded The Wall at Mirval. Part of their payment for the facility was to allow Mirval to use the name Pink Floyd on their Rose. Sting also records at Mirval. Property is owned by an American graduate of the US Naval Academy, and was recently used for the wedding of Brad and ANgelina. The wine is dry, but has a fruity aroma.
