Cantina Gigi Rosso
Good rich cherry red in the glass.
Cherry fruit, bitter notes on the nose.
Full in the mouth, spicy, cherry pie, red licorice, a mild bitter bite, soft mouthfeel, tangy and drying toward the end.
With time, the dryness increased and the rather forward fruit that I had noticed earlier, faded a bit.
Drying, mouthwatering and tangy on the finish.
A very nice wine and it matched very well with our meals.
Purchased from a restaurant wine list at $42 (Canadian).
