Eight dollars and change on regular list in the "South Eastern Europe" section of the LCBO. Screwcap closure.
A very rarely seen, though eye-catching, 10.5% alc./vol. Pale straw; crystal-clear with a very light green glint. Gorgeous muscat aromatic palette: oranges, spicy rosewater, papaya, a Gewürz-like note (lychee and roses). Crisp, light-bodied and dry on the entry; cleansing, refreshing, aromatic and dry, so wonderfully dry. The floral aromatic palette dances all across the palate, right into the finish. The finish is short, but there's plenty of aromatic interest here.
A wonderful, inexpensive Hungarian white to chill down slightly and enjoy as an apéritif, or with hors d'oeuvres ... or even just on its own with a light snack. Great summer sipping all around.
