I would not recommend a wine to this group unless it was tart. Fruit is very tropical for a viognier. Chances are you will have no way of trying this. It is kick ass. They understood how whites have to be tart.

Rod, good to see a post from you. Is this Oregon's Cooper Vineyards, or is there a Cooper in your area (Amador/El Dorado)?

There is indeed a Cooper in the Shenandoah Valley. Very nice wines, particularly the whites. Their viognier is very nice and their roussanne is usually fantastic. (I'm not Rod, but....)

This is the Amador one. It is 15.2% alc., but could not taste any ripeness. This area struggles with too much heat and quick grape ripening.
